Mom got to Springfield early and got some breakfast with some eggs and bacon before catching her flight to Chicago. After the flight to Chicago, the flight to DC was delayed by a couple of hours, so she got a great taco bowl at Burrito Beach and got to relax while frequently gates due to the delays... Her flight to DC finally took off and she arrived at 4:30 and I picked her up right as she was walking out to Arrivals. We zipped off back through the traffic of Roslyn and Georgetown, made it to the house and settled in. I poured us both a glass of wine and we took a breather after a busy travel day.
Ariel came over to have a glass of wine and let Annabel play with the pups for a bit. Our Chinese food arrived as Ariel was heading home, and mom and I had a great dinner before getting ready for bed. We watched an episode of Blown Away and mom fell asleep early after a long hard day.
