Wait…this…isn’t Scotland.

After running a few errands and making some Tony Chachere’s wings for lunch we headed over to the National Cathedral for the Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan, the annual blessing of the tartan and the many families of Scottish descent that made their home in the United States. It was an unplanned but welcome event the day before we left. There was a pipe and drum corp and a demonstration of Scottish dancing that we got to enjoy in the shade (it was quite warm for April!).
