Well it was quite the day at work, and I was glad to shut off the computer and dash for the door (on time for the first time in ages!). I got home and took Darcy out only to come back and find ants in the kitchen going for the dogs’ food.
It has NEVER happened, and they decided to move in TODAY!? I had to dash off a quick apology and plea to Meredith to see if she can evict them while I’m out. Somewhere amidst my frantic lysoling and packing Darcy worked out what was going on.
Betrayal.
I sat with them for a bit, took Darcy out one last time, and said goodbye as my Lyft rolled up 10
minutes early blasting Taylor Swift. Vacation is starting NOW.
I got to Dulles with no drama (but TTPD on the soundtrack the entire way!) and breezed through security. Dulles has this down for sure. I popped onto the tram and made my way over to the gate and made it a mere three hours before my flight.
I decided to get dinner at Potbelly’s (a very good roast beef sandwich and voodoo chips!) and trekked back to my gate to have dinner and listen to Persuasion on Audible.
