3. Do a handstand

This is such a bad idea, but because it combines strength, balance, and a little stupidity to be doing this at 40, it's the perfect addition to this list.


One good thing about running a lot and getting in shape is that there's a bit less of me to balance upside down :) I tried a couple of different techniques for starting to work up to a handstand, and I managed to tweak my lats both times. And there's nothing quite as painful as having a muscle strain that makes it hurt to breathe. So...different tactic is required!
