On January 25, 2026 DC had a pretty big winter storm and the temperature in the apartment was pretty chilly, so it was the perfect time for a blanket fort!

I put my card table on the couch and piled blankets all over it, and then all the rest of the blankets went inside. It was really cozy and helped me, Georgie, and Annabel (who was visiting!) stay toasty while the heater did its job.

When Ariel got back on Monday from Paris, she and Annabel fell asleep in the tent. It was a good tent.

Annabel was a big fan of the blanket fort.
